Police in Georgia are trying to find out who stole about 400,000 toothpicks worth nearly $3,000 from a manufacturer in Athens.
Police told the news media that someone took six cases of toothpicks from Armond Manufacturing Company Inc. two weeks ago, and seven cases disappeared last week.
Each box contains 288 packs of 100 toothpicks.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
The owner believes that a current or former employee may be responsible.
Two employees told the owner that he saw a man selling Armond Containers toothpicks at a flea market last weekend.
