Beware Republicans, here come the sluts.
Rights activists of women are joining together to "Rock the Vote of sluts" in an effort to register online for women to vote and vote against the Republicans in 2012.
"If the GOP thinks that throwing the "slut" word for us now is to silence women they have another thing coming," said Susan McMillan Emry, the founder of the movement.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh got the derogatory word “slut” into the political arena in February, when he called Sandra Fluke a law student a "slut" to testify before Congress in support of contraception.
After the national reaction against the Limbaugh insults, "Rock the Vote Slut" is for "spreading" the offensive word, Emry said.
Taking a comedic vein from Jeff Foxworthy "You might be a redneck if ..." jokes, the site offers visitors 22 reasons why "You can be a slut" as "if you have used a contraceptive method "or" if "you still are downloading music from Dixie Chicks" or "if you do not go to church. "
The site aims to "reappropriate" the word "slut" for Limbaugh and other Republicans so it cannot be used to intimidate women "and silence them," said Emry.
