Man bits into a the ear of a police dog
A North Carolina man was arrested after allegedly biting the ear of a police dog so badly that the dog needed more than fifteen stitches.

Travis Glaspie bit into the ear of Maxx the K-9 when the dog caught him during a police chase according to media reports.

Police said the 22-year-old ran when police tried to arrest him on outstanding warrants and possession of a firearm by a felon and firing at an occupied vehicle.

Maxx the police dog, which has been in service since February, reportedly caught up with the
 suspect shortly after that the two engaged in a bloody struggle.

Cpl. David Pellegrino said that this was the first time he saw someone trying to bite a police canine of the Wilmington Police Department.

Glaspie remains in police custody. His bail was set at $1,025,000.
