Cop in uniform arrested for selling drugs to FBI agent

Police officer sold drugs to a FBI agent while in uniform
The news media has learned that the FBI arrested a Philadelphia police officer for allegedly selling drugs to an undercover FBI agent.

A police official confirmed the arrest. according to sources, the officer worked in district 17, of the police department.

Director of the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, identified the officer as 23-year-old Jonathan Garcia, of Philadelphia.

According to a press release, Garcia has been indicted on charges of four counts of distribution of
 heroin and two counts of carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking offense.

According to an affidavit accompanying the arrest warrant, Garcia sold heroin packets to a source cooperating with the FBI. The source posing as a drug buyer. The statement also details several incidents where Garcia sold the packages of heroin to a FBI source, including while still in police uniform.
If convicted of all charges, Garcia faces a maximum sentence of life imprisonment and a mandatory minimum sentence of 30 years in prison.
