(Scroll down for video) Christine wowed the world with her determination.

Christine became the first blind cook to compete on Fox’s “MasterChef” show.

Christine Ha, studied Creative Writing at the University of Houston. But she put collage on hold to make her dream a reality.

33-year-old Christine loves cooking and she proved that a disability does not have to hinder one from doing what one loves to do.

Christine was not always blind. In 1999 she has been diagnosed with neuromyelitis optica a condition of the central nervous system that affects the optic nerves and spinal cord.

"At first it only happened in one eye, then I didn’t recover so I learned to adjust to seeing with just one eye. In 2004, my vision decreased to the level where I could no longer drive. In 2007, it left me totally blind. I have to use a cane to walk around. I try to be as independent as possible and my husband is there for me whenever I need him” She said.
