A woman committed suicide by train and also called her boyfriend on the phone, so he can witness the suicide live with her on the phone.

A woman was talking to her boyfriend on a cell phone during her suicide bid when she was hit by a train in Wyandotte and died this morning.

The Wyandotte woman, 25 years old, who was hit by the train on the railroad tracks east of 9 Maple Street, left a suicide note at the scene, Wyandotte police said in a press release issued this morning.

"Investigators at the scene determined that she was sitting between the rails on the track," said Wyandotte Police Chief Daniel Grant in a press release.

"Although the engineer sounded his horn several times, it was obvious she had no intention of leaving the tracks."

Wyandotte Police and fire departments responded to the scene shortly after 5:15 am.

The staff of the Office of the Wayne County Medical Examiner removed the woman's body from the scene.
