Angela Marie Janecka, 39, from Virginia gave birth to a healthy baby girl in her home. After the birth she called her husband at work to let him know that she gave birth to a dead baby.

Janecka lied to her husband when she told him that she gave birth to a stillborn baby at their apartment. She also told her husband that she had called emergency services and the medical responders took the deceased child away.

Her heartbroken husband came home to be at his wife's side in this difficult time. The husband wanted to give her emotional support and help her cope with the loss.

When her husband came home he started to clean up the apartment after the messy delivery. As he went to put things into the dryer he was shocked to discover his newborn baby girl inside the dryer stuffed into a pillowcase that was wrapped in a plastic bag.

The father called the Henrico County emergency services. They rushed the mother and baby to St. Mary's Hospital. The baby was found to be alive and in good health.

The mother was arrested and charged with attempted murder and felony child neglect. She is held without bond.

The baby is doing well and is in the care of Child Protective Services, while the couple's 8 year old son is in his father’s custody.
