(Scroll down for video) Best Friends Animal Society based in Los Angeles, California runs the nation’s largest home for abused and abandoned animals.

They have many experts to help with the healing process so the animals can recover both physically and emotionally.

When football star Michael Vick was arrested the court asked Best Friends to take possession of the 22 dogs who had suffered physical abuse and psychological trauma.

Now the Best Friends Animal Society has taken their love for animals to a whole new level, they installed an interactive cat webcam
called IPetCompanion and a playroom so anyone in the world can play with these abandoned animals.

The new virtual play room has a camera with live video that allows users to shake toys and play with cats in real time.
Since the webcam was set up close to 45,000 people have visited the website to play with the cats.

The webcam and playroom have also helped Best Friends Animal Society double their adoption rate, thereby getting more cats into loving homes.
