Divers were left red faced after working hard to rescue a woman drowning at sea, according to reports in the news media.

Turkish rescue workers saved the woman, which was found to be an inflatable sex doll from the Black Sea. Police were notified by panicked residents who mistook the blow up sex doll for a woman's body floating at sea, a local newspaper reported.

Police cordoned off a wide stretch of beach in the northern province of Samsun and sent a team of divers into the water to rescue what appeared to be a drowning woman, according to reports and witnesses. The diving team eventually discovered that it was actually an inflatable blow up sex doll that fizzled before throwing it away, according to the newspaper.

It is not clear from where the inflatable sex doll came from. The Black Sea is a key destination for Turks and is usually busy with international shipping traffic. After the divers came back to shore with the blow up sex doll, mothers quickly took their children away from the scene as to not expose their children to such type of toys, which could lead them to ask uncomfortable questions.
