This is most probably for the first time in history, that a woman who was reported missing, joined a group search to search for herself.

The woman in Iceland was reported missing Saturday night after a group of tourists who thought she was with them disappeared. She later joined a search organized to find her, unaware that she was actually looking to find herself.

According to the news media, the tour group was traveling on a bus near Eldgja Canyon when they stopped. She decided to change clothes during the break and then rejoined the group of tourists. Nobody in the bus was able to recognize her in her new clothing.

The woman was later reported missing on Saturday night. The news media reported that the description of the woman was released stating that she was "Asian, about 160 cm tall, with dark clothing and spoke good English." She initially did not recognize the description of herself and later joined the search.

According to news media reports the search continued throughout the weekend but to no avail. On Monday, she finally realized that she was the missing woman in question and notified local authorities of the confusion and said that she was safe.
