(Scroll down for video) An activist for animals wanted to show the world how nice gorillas are.

He recorded a video showing the gorilla playing with his little child.

The gorilla is seen taking the toddler and carrying her like a doll in a video that just hit the web.

Damian Aspinall, a British conservation activist shot the video 22 years ago at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent, but has not been made public until now.,He feared a backlash because his child is seen playing with the 300 pound gorilla who was only 18-months-old at the time.

He said he released the video to show how gorillas are really friendly, according to the news media.Gorillas do attack humans, but it is rare. Never did the gorilla in the video put a hand on the child while the child was stroking the head and when the two go together for a slide.

Aspinall’s foundation works to send back endangered gorillas to their natural habitat. Another video shows him looking in the forests of West Africa for a gorilla named Kwibi which was released five years ago.

Aspinall is not sure if Kwibi would recognize him or attack him but they share a hug and Kwibi introduces Aspinall to his new family in nature.
