The woman was shot accidentally by her father as he pointed the gun at her boyfriend during a dispute in the family home, his defense attorney told the court.

Dante D. White, 49, was arrested after his daughter, 25, was shot in the arm at his house St. Austin, Chicago, over the weekend.

White was involved in an argument with his daughter's boyfriend and ordered him to leave the family home, Cook County Bond Court heard. The daughter of White was shot as she stepped between her father and her boyfriend, a Chicago Police officer told news reporters.
