The administrator of New York Presbyterian Hospital, attempted suicide after being charged with possession of child porn, according to police reports.

Shawn Klein, apparently jumped in front of a subway just a short time after he posted bail in a child pornography case.

Klein was in critical condition at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell, where he was transferred from the 23rd Street station #6 line, authorities and sources said.

The hospital administrator was hit by a train at about 3:20 pm, police said. Police sources said he jumped in front of the train.

He underwent surgery, a relative said. "He passed out on the operating table and doctors brought him back," Eileen Blanchard, his sister told news reporters. "That's all I know. We're Just waiting."

The apparent suicide attempt followed Klein’s release from jail, a day after the 52-year-old was charged with possession of child pornography, according to court records and the Department of Corrections.

He was charged Monday with one count of possession of a sexual performance by a child, a felony.
