Female shoplifter fights security guards while holding baby in her hand

(Scroll down for video) A shoplifter did not let security guards get in her way despite holding her little baby in her hand, according to police reports in Sacramento, California.

An alleged robber in Sacramento put up a fight with the security guards on Sunday while holding a baby in her arms, police said.

The resisting thief, who was detsined when police responded, received help from her husband, too, who had returned to the scene to pick up the children, police said.

The Sacramento Police Department said the man, who police identified as Joshua Head, 27, put the kids in a car and left only to return to the businesses later to assault the security guards in the 6300 block of Mack Road.

Joshua Head and Telesa Pearson, 24, were arrested at the scene.
Pearson and Head face several charges, including child endangerment, resisting arrest and theft.

The children were placed in protective custody and later returned to their parents.
