Just when you thought that there is a Starbucks coffee shop everywhere you turn the company has found another space where it could expand.

When you attend a funeral of your family or friend you might desperately need a coffee or some other Starbucks drink. Now, you can buy at Starbucks without leaving the funeral home.

A funeral home in South Carolina, opened a Starbucks coffee shop in a planned expansion of its facilities.

The Starbucks resides in an area of Robinson Funeral Home in Easley. The corner named itself the "Coffee Corner", and is part of an expansion that will also include commercial offices along with a chapel.

Chris Robinson, owner of the fourth-generation funeral home and crematorium, said that coffee has always been a part of the family business. He said his great-grandfather started the funeral home in a general store where people would often meet for coffee.

The funeral home has hired staff from Starbucks, and the store will be open to the public. Those attending services will also be able to buy some fresh coffee. Robinson said he hoped that those attending a funeral will enjoy the new addition, but insists it will not be a distraction from the services.

"You walk in the front, and through the side," said Robinson. "It's not like it's right there," he added.
He said the funeral home will also continue to offer homemade coffee at services for free.
