A man was angry at his girlfriend so he decided to push her out from the window, even though she was holding his baby in her arms.

Jersey City, New Jersey, Police said the man, who is also accused of beating his former girlfriend, has been captured.

They said that Frederick Bruno, 19, was hiding in the apartment of his ex-girlfriend and ended up beating her. Then, he pushed her and her 3-month-old baby out from a third-floor window.

"He was attacking the mother of his son, she said she was going to call the police," Police Chief Tom Comey said. "He then charged at her and stabbed her brutally," he said.

Comey said it appears that Bruno repeatedly stabbed his 20-year-old ex and her friend, then threw his ex, who was holding her baby, out the window. During the fall, the two hit air conditioners before hitting the concrete floor in the back yard.

But he did not stop there. The police said Bruno tried to finish the job by going down the fire escape to beat her with a table he found in the yard.

Investigators spent the day touring the neighborhood showing the photo of Bruno to the neighbors.
The police said they had been called to the house several times just in the last week, but there was no protective order.

The two women are in critical condition and the baby is in critical condition, police said.
Bruno was arrested Friday night in Bellville.
