A woman claims police knocked down her door and stared at her while she was naked.

A former beauty queen is suing the Sheriff's Department of Los Angeles, after officers allegedly broke into her apartment in a case of mistaken identity with firearms in their hand as she got out of her bed, totally naked.

Caleche Ranae Manos, who was crowned Miss Nevada in 2007, said in a lawsuit that the officers kicked down the door of the wrong apartment in Santa Monica, on November 15, 2011, and pointed their guns at her and her boyfriend Eric Otto Ryder, while the couple was still in bed.

The authorities had a search warrant for apartment "C", but entered the unit of the family even though the apartment was clearly marked "A", according to a copy of the complaint.

"At that time Mrs. Manos was still in bed and she was naked," the complaint said. "The sheriff's officers, all of whom were men, and armed with guns, ordered Mrs. Manos to get out of bed and then, watched her as she made her way out of bed naked," the lawsuit claimed.

The lawsuit goes on to say that the officers spent a "significant amount of time" in the apartment before realizing their mistake.

Manos, who is seeking damages for negligence, false imprisonment and violations of her civil rights, also claims that an officer joked that she would have a good story to tell at Thanksgiving dinner.

Manos also is accusing police officers of sexual harassment.
