A woman said she was nearly beaten to death by three children, because she is a lesbian.

Three children of the same family are under arrest after allegedly attacking a woman in Missouri, and the victim believes that she was attacked because she is a lesbian.

Jeana Terry, 41, and her partner, Lisa Lange, were inside their home on July 24, when a 16-year-old, who lives nearby, allegedly began shouting anti-gay insults.

The girl then allegedly called her 13-year-old brother and 11-year-old sister, went to the terrace and pulled Terry away when she reached the door, authorities said.

"Once I was down, it was pure chaos," said Terry, who discloses that she was repeatedly kicked and hit.
Lange called police, and ran to help Terry break free from the children.

"They were kicking, stomping and beating the hell out of her," said neighbor Mima Poole.
Terry said she may need eye surgery and still suffers from nausea and dizziness.

The children's mother said that Terry and Lange started the whole fight.
The two younger children pleaded guilty to burglary and second degree assault in juvenile court and will be released soon, said the mother.

The 16-year-old faces charges of assault and robbery, and will be charged with a hate crime. It has been determined that she will be tried as an adult, and faces many years behind bars.
