Three innocent young children from the same family were found bound and stoned to death.
Police in South Africa said they are hunting "day and night" for the suspects after the three children were found tied up and stoned to death.
Bafana Kekana, Hosea Richard Kekana and Johana Kekana, ages 9, 10 and 12, respectively, were reported missing on Thursday, after not returning to a home for young people where they had been living, according to a statement from the South African police.
The three children participated in a rally that called on the government to hire more teachers.
A local resident found the children's bodies in Naboomspruit, a city in northeastern South Africa, on Saturday, still in their school uniforms with their hands and feet tied with shoelaces.
The South African Police Service also said that bloody stones were found near the bodies, and the girl, Johanna, had apparently been raped as well.
"We will hunt day and night for the perpetrators. We will follow all the clues and no stone will be left unturned," said Lt. Gen. Simon Mpembe, the provincial police commissioner in Limpopo.
