|Man sleeping in a bed|
A woman in California, found a completely unclothed man sleeping in her bed, so she called police.
The police arrested Konstantin Khazin, 25, originally from Ukraine, who lives in San Diego, California, after his neighbor called police around 1:00 a.m.
The neighbor of Khazin apparently returned home late to an unexpected sight in her bed. She ran out of the room and called police.
In a bizarre twist, Khazin allegedly told police that he was in her house to prevent thieves from breaking into the home.
He told police that he heard a noise coming from his neighbor's apartment, which he said was unlocked.
“So I went inside to investigate,” he told police.
For some reason, he decided to take off his clothes and get into her bed.
When asked why he didn’t just leave the apartment, he told police that "When a person enters someone's home, you should let them know that you were there."
He also said he did not want his neighbors to think he was stealing from her, police said.
None of these explanations really helped clarify why Khazin decided to take off his clothes. Police have ruled out the use of drugs and alcohol.
Police also ruled out that Khazin intended to commit a sexual crime. Khazin likely will face charges of stalking.
That is a form of disorderly conduct in California, punishable by fines and imprisonment.
