(Scroll down for video) It was supposed to be a happy day for Savannah Blewett and her family. Savannah has reached a big milestone in her life, she had graduated. Her family was happy for her and they all planned a nice barbeque celebration, but instead, it turned out to be the worst day of her parents’ lives.

18-year-old Savannah Blewett from Michigan, was preparing a bonfire with the help of her 27-year-old brother, Chris, in their backyard. Chris poured gasoline on the pile of wood and his sister Savannah put a match to it, resulting in an explosion that killed both siblings.

“The family is devastated, they've lost their whole family, so there's no future,“ said the victim’s uncle Tom Blewett.

Savannah had planned to attend Baker College to become a dental hygienist. Her brother Chris was a roofer like his father.
