A teen girl, who was held as a prisoner, was raped and had a child, finally escaped after two years.

Police in southwestern Illinois said that a teenager, who was reported missing more than two years ago, has escaped from a house where she was held as a prisoner.

Police in Washington Park, a town next to East St. Louis, said that the girl was raped by her captor. She became also got pregnant and had a baby.

She ran away from the home earlier this week and went to the police, saying that her son was in the house.

About two dozen members of a SWAT team raided the home late on Thursday, and recovered the child. A 24-year-old man has been arrested.

Washington Park Police Chief David Clark said it appeared that the man's mother assisted in the crime.

Police said the girl was listed as a missing child or possible runaway teen in April 2010. She was 15-years-old when she disappeared.
