(Scroll down for video) An artist showed off her portrait, which she made from burning candles, this week.
There is simply no doubt that Adele is a massively talented artist, who has been on fire with a series of albums and songs in recent years. Therefore, it seems logical that fire must play a role. Watch Adele's portrait made of candles in the video below.
The fascinating tribute to Adele was posted by artist Hong Yi, aka Red, who writes about the work:
What inspired me?
I'm doing a project involving 4 parts of 4 basic elements: fire, water, wind and earth.
So for the fire, I chose to do a portrait of Adele. Her song "Set Fire To The Rain" inspired me to use candles and fire as my painting materials. But why?
For me, Adele was singing about the pain of a lost relationship. Rain can be a metaphor for the tears cried, and she is setting fire to burn and destroy the pain. I used blue candles to represent the tears.
Well, here they love the concept, and I think it is a perfectly suitable and beautiful tribute to the music phenomenon Adele.
