One man went crazy by spending more than $1 million for his baby's birthday party.

Some people certainly do not skimp when it comes to celebrating the milestones of their children.

High-end floral designer and event planner Harijanto Setiawan recalled a gala he prepared a few months ago, which he said cost at least $1 million to organize.

The star of the party was the daughter of an Indonesian tycoon.

The event, which had 300 guests, was held at the luxurious Capella Singapore, a Wonderland theme park, which included a real life size carousel and forest. The items were created in the hotel from scratch by Setiawan and his team.

Talks between the client and the designer began six weeks before the event.

Props were manufactured in a factory in Indonesia, before being transported to the hotel three weeks before the event in order to be assembled.

The family could not be reached for an interview as they were in Monte Carlo for another celebration.

The cost of the floral decorations and interior design of the place came in at $180,000, he said.

The other expensive costs of this lavish party included the hiring of singers, actors, an event planner and accommodations for guests, all paid for by the couple in Indonesia.
