Armed robbers scare themselves off by throwing fireworks

(Scroll down for video) Armed robbers in Virginia, tried to scare a 7-Eleven store employee before robbing him, but instead, they scared themselves away.

Arlington County Police have released the surveillance video from the armed robbery at the 7-Eleven store located at 1100 George Mason Drive. The attempted robbery occurred around 3:25 a.m., on Sunday.

A white male entered the store wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face, while pointing a gun at the clerk.

Then, a tall black male in a white V-neck T-shirt appeared in the doorway of the store and a firecracker exploded. The firecracker made ​​a loud noise startling the man who held the gun. Both men immediately fled the scene on foot empty handed.
