|Baby born during flight|
Soon, people will carry more than luggage. They will carry the airlines' names.
A woman gave birth on an Emirates flight earlier this month, naming her boy after the airline.
The woman was traveling on Emirates from Dubai to Manila, when she went into labor early. She gave birth on the plane, which was diverted to Ho Chi Min City, the airline said in a statement.
The baby was delivered in the bathroom of the aircraft and two Filipino nurses on the flight jumped from their seats to assist in the childbirth during the flight. They helped extract the amniotic fluid from the baby's mouth, nose and ears.
The mother of the baby was apparently so grateful that she called her baby EK, the code of the Emirates flight.
The mother and baby were taken to a hospital after landing. The mother has been discharged from the hospital, but the baby remains in intensive care.
