(Scroll down for video) A family is rejoicing as their mother was found alive after missing for five days. 59-year-old Theresa Christian Black was found in her large chest-sized freezer, which was big enough for a person.

Black was first reported missing by her family on Saturday, and was eventually found by her son on Tuesday, when he gained access to her apartment.

Black is suffering from mental issues. Her family speculated that perhaps she got into the freezer because she feared that a tornado will hit her home.

When the woman's son came into the apartment, he immediately recognized that there was no way his mother would have left the residence willingly without her purse and other belongings while her T.V. was still on.

He searched for his mother in every room and in every closet until he heard her moaning, calling for help from inside the big freezer. Her son was delighted to find his mother, especially since she was still alive and uninjured.
