The arm of an elderly woman in Florida, became a good meal for a hungry alligator, according to reports.
The elderly woman lost her arm to an alligator on Wednesday morning, in what authorities described as a terrible attack.
The victim, Carol Hough, 84, was found by a neighbor in a canal near the Cyrpess Creek Mobile Home Park in Leesburg, local community officials reported. Her arm was seriously injured.
The neighbor could not remove the woman from the canal, but managed to keep her head above water until medical personnel arrived, according to the report.
All she had to say was: "Where is Bob? Where is Bob?" Bob is her late husband, who died two or three years ago, Delmas Zickefoose, the neighbor, said according to the report.
The doctors could not save the arm and she was in stable condition at Orlando Regional Medical Center, the report said.
The local community reported that residents noticed an 8-foot alligator in the area.
