(Scroll down for video) A shocking new video was released showing how a police officer punched a woman in the face.

Video recorded during a Philadelphia parade showed a uniformed officer striking a woman in the face.

The blow caused the woman to bleed from the mouth. The officer has been identified as Lt. Jonathan Josey. After the blow, other police officers took her away.

Philadelphia Police Internal Affairs is investigating the incident.

The video showed a group of police officers gathered at North 5th St. on Sunday afternoon, apparently handcuffing a man at a car.
Someone in the crowd threw a water bottle at them and Josey turned to the direction the bottle came from.

The officer then goes after the unidentified woman, followed by other police officers. He then punched her, causing her to fall on the street.

The video was uploaded on Sunday night, shortly after the incident, and now has thousands of views.
Police said that the woman was cited for spraying silly string at officers, although this was not seen in the short video.

Josey, a veteran with 19 years in the Philly Police Department, shot and killed a man, who was robbing a 7-11 at gunpoint in 2010.
In that case, a judge ruled that he was justified in using deadly force.
