Samurai sword pulled on train

(Scroll down for video) After a fight broke out on a train, a man with a samurai sword came to the rescue, stopping the fight, according to video uploaded to the Internet.

The man pulled out what appeared to be a samurai sword to break up a fight in a Phoenix, Arizona, Light Rail train car. The punches stopped once those fighting saw the single-edged sharp blade.

The martial arts weapon, long associated with feudal Japan, does not appear frequently in American public transportation. Whether the man is a true master of Bushido, the code of the samurai, or just someone who has seen one too many movies of Akira Kurosawa, is besides the point.

After all, his tactic of intimidation worked.

The two young men who had the upper hand during the fight, fled the car, as the man who was beaten and kicked repeatedly cursed them from the door.

The unidentified man with a baseball cap and headphones, did not need to run a martial art move to ward off the fighters. He just drew his katana and walked slowly toward them.

"Let me see it! Let me see!" Said the man who had been losing the fight, but the wannabe samurai raised his fist to indicate that he was in control of the situation.
