A man raped his niece while the girl’s father watched, according to police.

Police said that Dustin Alton Kent raped his niece, then 13, in 2008.

The girl's father, who committed suicide in June, allegedly told her she was going to the pet store and instead drove to Kent. The father is said to have seen his daughter being raped.

Missing teen Brittney Wood’s uncle allegedly raped a different family member, 13, while the victim's father watched, according to court records.

Sgt. Scott Congleton of Mobile, Alabama, testified in the District Court of Mobile County, that Dustin Alton Kent raped his niece, aged 17, when she was only 13 in 2008.

Congleton said the victim's father, Donnie Holland, said he would travel to the pet store to buy her a hamster. But Holland took her to Kent.

Holland led her to a dark path and allegedly allowed Kent to kiss his daughter. Holland then allegedly parked the car while Kent removed her clothes and he saw Kent rape his daughter.

"There are streets back there, but nothing has ever been developed. So there are no buildings or lights. While Holland watched, Mr. Kent engaged in raping the girl," Deputy District Attorney Nicki Patterson said.

"She was very credible," Congleton said of the victim.

The victim, Congleton said did not present information until her father, Holland, shot himself in the head on June 1.

Several members of the Wood family, including her own brother, have been charged with incest and rape.

"From the evidence I have seen," Patterson said, "this is a kind of collection of pedophiles."
