Man, 72, threatens to kill his neighbor for passing gas next to his apartment

A man of Teaneck, New Jersey, was arrested after he fought with his neighbor over a stinky fart.

Police said that 72-year-old Daniel Collins and his unidentified neighbor, who lives in a apartment building at 694 Cedar Lane, had an ongoing fight. When the neighbor made a stink while passing gas in the hallway leading to the apartment of Collins, the situation turned violent.

Collins allegedly grabbed a gun and threatened to kill his neighbor when the neighbor passed gas near the door of his apartment.

The neighbor claimed that Collins pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him. He screamed: "I will put a hole in your head."

When officers arrived, Collins denied threatening his neighbor with a firearm. However, after they searched his vehicle, they found a .32 caliber revolver.

Collins was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and making terroristic threats. He was later released on his own recognizance.
