A casket maker drew an angry response after using sexy models to sell their coffins, according to reports.

“Sex can sell anything even coffins,” a company executive said. However, what might appeal to some people was offensive to others.

Linder, a Polish coffin maker, released a sexy calendar of beautiful models posing seductively beside their products.

Beautiful women appear topless or don skimpy lingerie, bikinis and corsets, in bondage scenes that present burials, chalk lines and other dark themes.

The company intends to obtain publicity and generate income with their erotic calendar.

"My son had the idea to create the calendar for the company," company owner Zbigniew Lindner said, adding "so we can show something half serious, colorful, beautiful, the beauty of the Polish youth and the beauty of our coffins."

Linder expected to distance the theological significance in the minds of customers using sexual images with the coffin, who will also receive a supplement coffin shaped key ring.

"We wanted to show the coffin not as a religious symbol, but as a product," Lindner said. "Why are people afraid of caskets and not from costumes, cosmetics or jewelry?"

A spokesman for the Catholic Church said that death should not be treated so lightly and deemed the calendar inappropriate.
