Learning karate carries a great advantage so victims can defend themselves when attacked, but using karate on a defenseless six-year-old boy is outright sick and cruel.

Paul Adams Jr., 38, from Wallingford, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, was taking care of his six-year-old nephew Tyreece Charlow.

He told his nephew to get his clothing ready for the next day, but his nephew refused to do so.

Adams started viciously beating him. According to police, Adams, who has a black belt in karate, beat his nephew severely using a large belt. He kicked the boy with his feet for 45 minutes until the boy was dead.

Adams was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, first and third-degree murder and possession of an instrument of crime.

According to court documents, Adams took his nephew to a karate class after he was picked up from school. When they got home, Tyreece brushed his teeth, put on pajamas and returned to his uncle to say his prayers.

After praying, Adams told his nephew to get his clothing ready for the next day, but the boy did not obey him. Out of anger, he severely beat and killed the young child.

A few hours later, the boy was found unconscious. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead of blunt force trauma, authorities said.
