(Scroll down for video) A rape victim was caught thanks to his stupidity of leaving his name and phone number with the victim, according to police reports.

The suspect in two violent crimes in Washington, D.C., was arrested after leaving his name and phone number with his second victim, authorities said.

Demarco Myles, 19, is accused of raping a student at Howard University in her bedroom on November 2. He also tied the victim to a bed by the legs and gave her his name and phone number.

"He said something to the effect of: ‘Since you do not know me, here's my number b****,'" according to court documents.

The victim said she did not need Myles’ number, according to the documents, so he took a marker and crossed it out.

Police arrived at the scene and were able to trace the number to a residence belonging to the
mother of Myles.

When taken in for questioning, Myles admitted to stabbing a woman on October 26 after breaking into her home, but said that he just wanted to take her belongings, according to court documents.

Myles said that he did not intend to kill anyone and asked if the victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds survived, or died, according to court documents.

The 19-year-old said, according to the documents, that the alleged incident at Howard University was consensual.
