|Businessman going wrong way on escalator|
(Scroll down for video) A drunk businessman was seen on video trying to walk down the wrong way on an escalator, according to video uploaded to the Internet.
Navigating through the London Underground can be an ordeal even when one is sharp and alert, but for this drunk man it was a bit too much. The businessman was so determined to get to the platform, he tried to walk the wrong way down the escalator.
A fellow traveler captured these images of the businessman, wearing a suit and carrying a briefcase, trying to go down the tube on the escalator moving upwards on Tottenham Court Road.
Despite not moving a bit, the still unnamed man on the escalator remained determined. He went on even when other passengers pointed out to him that he was walking down the wrong path.
Several good Samaritan's attempted to carry the man off the escalator, but the man ignored them and continued his fruitless journey.
After struggling for more than two minutes, as people pushed past him, a traveler pushed the emergency stop button and pointed him in the right direction.
The incident was caught on camera on Friday, by Sam Napper, 27, who described the man as a "drunken Japanese businessman.”
"One by one, interested travelers tried to steer him in the right direction, to no avail. Finally, someone pressed the emergency stop button. After a pause of a few seconds, he turned around and left, as if nothing had happened, saying nothing, leaving us speechless,” he said.
