(Scroll down for videos) Shena Hardin, 32, from Cleveland, Ohio, was in a rush to get her daughter to school. However, a school bus, which had children, was taking a bit too long to move, so she did the unthinkable. She drove onto a sidewalk and passed the bus.
To her bad luck, a police officer saw the whole incident. As soon as the woman drove off the sidewalk the officer stopped her.
Hardin was arrested on Monday, and charged with a misdemeanor of the third degree for the dangerous stunt, which was captured on video by the bus driver and seen by a police officer.
A Cleveland Municipal Court judge ordered her license be suspended for 30 days. The judge also ordered her to wear a sign saying “Only an idiot drives on the sidewalk to avoid a school bus.”
Next week Tuesday and Wednesday, 32-year-old Hardin will be forced to stand at the intersection of East 38th Street and Payne Avenue, wearing the embarrassing sign. She will have to stand there from 7.45 a.m. to 8.45. a.m. on both days, so parents who drive their children to school know that passing a school bus will not be tolerated and lawbreakers will be punished.
