Man steals girl's pantyhose to fix his car

A man claimed that he stole a teen’s pantyhose in order to fix his car, according to police reports.

An Avon Lake, Ohio, teen told police that a man stole her socks so he could fix his car.

It happened at 7:30 p.m., at the Union Street garage at Crocker Park.

According to Westlake police, the 16-year-old girl was approached by the man, who demanded her pantyhose.

The man said that he needed it to fix the exhaust system of his car. The girl gave the man the pantyhose and then ran off.

The victim described the man as in his 20s, wearing a camouflage baseball cap and a dark Northface style coat.

Westlake police said that officers and security personnel searched the area for the man, but did not find him.

Crocker Park officials also reviewed the surveillance system, but the incident was not recorded.
