A man was jailed after he was charged with raping his girlfriend while she slept, according to court proceedings.

A terrified woman has shown her displeasure at discovering that her boyfriend of two years, had repeatedly raped her while she slept.

Naomi Hampson, 27, only learned that she had fallen victim to Robert fryer regularly when police raided the couple's home.

Her perverted boyfriend would sedate her and often paint her nails and dress her in jewelry before taking pictures of his nasty deeds and save them on his computer.

Hampson said: "I am upset when I think about what he did. I feel dirty and it makes me feel completely violated. Because I remember nothing it makes it a lot worse. It is so sinister that the whole time I was living with someone capable of doing that. He has no emotion. He is evil. If the police had not found out about this I could have been still living with him. It's frightening."

Nottingham Crown Court heard that in August, Fryer, a son of a police officer, has somnophilia, a rare condition known as sleeping beauty syndrome.

He admitted to raping Hampson three times between 2008 and 2011. He also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of sexual activity without consent and was jailed for eight years.
