A female New York teacher was arrested after sexually assaulting one of her female students, according to police reports.
The woman was a teacher in a school in Brooklyn, New York, when the alleged sexual misconduct with the teenage girl took place.
Police said 33-year-old Urszula Jankowska, was arrested Monday. She was charged with criminal sexual act, touching by force and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said that the alleged sexual misconduct occurred at several locations over several weeks.
The Education Department said that Jankowska was immediately suspended from school after the allegations of sexual misconduct with a student surfaced. The exact age of the victim was not revealed by police or in court documents.
The Education Department said that Jankowska was an English teacher at the School of Architecture and Design in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York.
The investigation is still ongoing and police said that Jankowska might still face more charges.
