A woman told police a bizarre reason for killing her boyfriend, according to testimony during a court trial.
Prosecutors said that the northwestern Pennsylvania woman said that her boyfriend "smelled of sex" before she killed him earlier this year.
31-year-old Rachel Kozloff, is on trial in the murder of her boyfriend. They were together for eight weeks.
Investigators said that Kozloff shot Michael Henry, in her apartment because she suspected him of cheating on her. Her son, then 10 months old, was in a nearby room.
Kozloff has denied killing Henry, but said he pushed her down the stairs during an argument.
In an odd twist, Kozloff's defense attorney refused to make any opening statements at the beginning of the trial.
The police never found the alleged murder weapon, but found used 9mm shells in Henry's apartment. Detectives said that Kozloff had purchased a .40 caliber pistol and a kit to make it a 9 mm.
