(Scroll down for video) A woman who suffered many years from non-stop sexual arousal, took her own life this week, according to police reports.

The woman who was recently profiled about her weird sexual disorder, a condition that led her to be constantly sexually aroused, was found dead after taking her own life on Saturday.

Gretchen Molannen, 39, of Florida, struggled with genital arousal disorder for the past 16 years. The disorder causes women to become aroused physically, but not psychologically. Some doctors believe it is caused by malfunctioning nerves.

The deputies of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, responded to a suicide call at the Molannen home in Spring Hill, Florida, on Saturday night.

Authorities did not provide further details surrounding her death. Molannen had a history of suicide attempts, having attempted suicide three times in the past year.

She had been so affected by her condition, she was unable to maintain steady employment in the last decade. It was not until 2007, when she saw another woman talking about the condition in an episode of 20/20, that she realized what she had.
