|Parliament members of Ukraine involved in large brawl|
(Scroll down for video) Parliament members of Ukraine, were shown on live TV acting like little children, fighting each other after a new parliament speaker was elected, according to video uploaded to the Internet.
The violent fight between supporters of the president and opposition lawmakers exploded in parliament on Thursday, nearly eclipsing the appointment of a new pro-government led speaker.
The Party of Regions, led by President Viktor Yanukovych, won a slim majority in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, after an election was condemned as unfair by the West. However, three opposition parties made a strong showing and vowed to challenge Yanukovych’s grip on power.
For the second working day of the new Parliament, fists flew as opposition lawmakers shouted "Shame! Shame!" and "No to deserters!"
Shortly after parliament began its work on Thursday morning, opposition lawmakers stormed the parliament podium and a fight broke out with pro-government legislators. Lawmakers fought one other and some deputies were shot down in the melee.
Opposition lawmakers were angered by the fact that some of their opponents continued the controversial practice of voting in place of their absent colleagues, despite a recent ban.
