A man was arrested after throwing a stash of cash at a woman at a club, according to court proceedings.

Hip-hop star Trey Songz, tried to throw money at a problem in a Queens, New York, strip club, and was arrested for assault instead.

The musician, 28, allegedly threw a bunch of cash at Donna McIntosh-Enoe, 36, after she took a cell phone picture of him during a party at Club Perfection in Woodhaven, Connecticut, at 4:00 a.m.

"He threw a lot of money at me," McIntosh-Enoe said. "A lot of money," she added. The Staten Island, New York, woman, who went to the club with her husband to see the "I Gotta Make It" star, said that the cash hit her so hard it left her with a black eye.

"I did not even know I had a bruise on my face until I left the club," she said. "I had to walk around for a week with a black eye."

Her husband said that the couple paid $700 to sit with the musician, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, in the VIP section of the club, where he held a launch party for his fifth studio album called "Studio V."

McIntosh-Enoe, a nurse, said that the dispute began when she took a cell phone photo of Songz, who quickly grabbed the phone and tried to delete the picture.

"Everybody was taking pictures," she said. "The difference between me and the other girls is that they were half naked while I had some clothes on," she said.

“The frustrated Songz could not delete the image, so he threw the money in my face instead,” She added.

"He tried to erase the image, but did not know how to use my phone," she said. The woman said that she was unable to pick up the discarded cash because she was injured.

"It was insulting to have someone just throw something," she said. "He was verbally disrespectful. He also embarrassed me in front of everyone at the club."

Songz was arrested and was slapped with misdemeanor assault and harassment charges, a spokesman for the Queens, New York District Attorney, Richard Brown, said. A protective order was issued after he appeared in court.
