A man was arrested and charged after performing dentist work without any medical license, according to police reports.
The 40-year-old California man, is accused of practicing dentistry without a license from his apartment in Moorpark.
William Escobar was arrested following an investigation that took one month to complete. Investigators said that Escobar performed teeth cleaning and even injected anesthetics into unsuspecting people in his home located in the 600 block of Spring Street.
One patient filed a police report after suffering inflammation of the gums. When investigators searched the house of Escobar, they found an elaborate illegal dental operation, complete with a dental chair, tools, anesthesia drugs, dentures and orthodontic type items.
Authorities said that Escobar had numerous clients, including adolescents. He was charged with felony practicing dentistry without a license, misdemeanor furnishing of dangerous drugs and possession of needles.
Investigators are asking those who have received a services from Escobar, to contact Moorpark authorities. Officials are especially interested in contact with children and their parents, who received dental or orthodontic work from Escobar.
