A sword wielding man killed a dentist while shopping at a mall in Kuwait, according to police reports.
The Lebanese dentist, who was 26 years old, was killed on Friday, at the hands of a stateless man, according to press reports.
Jaber Youssef was stabbed three times in The Avenues Mall by a Bidun man. The Bidun are residents of Kuwait without citizenship.
The 22-year-old suspect, had a sword and stabbed Youssef in the neck, chest and heart, according to the autopsy report.
Police used security cameras at the shopping center to identify the man, who was arrested hours later at Camp Bnaydar, a facility for the stateless.
Authorities are conducting a search for three men, who they said helped the suspect in the murder. A preliminary investigation revealed that the men had purchased the sword at the mall just before
the murder, but police have not revealed the motive behind the murder.
A witness said that a friend of Youssef, who was with the dentist at the time of the assault, was wounded in the left arm with a sharp object.
The friend, the witness said, told police that the four people had been harassing them while in their car on the way to the mall, which is one of the largest malls in Kuwait.
Youssef and his friend had a verbal altercation with the same four men for just a few minutes, at the shopping center parking lot before they went inside the center.
