A New York man was arrested after stripping naked in a church during prayer service despite the fact that children were present at the time, according to police reports in Connecticut.
The man of Brooklyn, who police said stripped naked in a church in the presence of congregation members, is now being evaluated at an Eastern Connecticut hospital.
Gary Pohronezny has been charged with disorderly conduct, risk of injury to minors and interfering with police regarding the alleged incident at St. James Catholic Church in Killingly, Connecticut, on Wednesday.
Police said that the 41-year-old man was taken to Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam for evaluation.
Pohronezny is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court to answer these charges next week, according to court records.
