A man was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for not telling women that he has HIV before sleeping with them.

The man, who is a youth football coach, admitted to having unprotected sex with multiple women without telling them that he has HIV.

Jimmy Bernard Billingsley, 42, from Dallas, Texas, had a relationship with a student’s mother and knowingly infected her with HIV.

The mother of the young athlete began her relationship with Billingsley several years ago. Later, during a routine health check-up, she discovered that she had contracted the virus.

Since Billingsley had been her sole partner and he had insisted that they have sex without protection, she knew he was the one who gave her the HIV. The woman contacted authorities immediately.

After being questioned, Billinglsey admitted that he had HIV since 2008, and had been having unprotected sex with several women in recent years without telling them about his HIV.

Billinglsey was convicted of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury as he knowingly gave multiple sexual partners HIV.

State District Judge Robb Catalano, sentenced him to a fifteen years prison term.
