(Scroll down for video) A good Samaritan was robbed at knifepoint after helping a homeless man, according to police reports in Missouri.
The Warrenton man said that he was robbed at knife point after offering to help the stranger. The suspect is in now in custody in a case that took police officers on a trip halfway across the state.
Wentzville Police said that the victim met with the suspect in a business in Warrenton, and gave him a ride to Saint Joseph’s Hospital to treat his injured hand.
Then the victim bought some food for the suspect. The victim took the suspect to a house where he was supposedly staying. That's when the situation took a turn for the worse. The victim claims that the suspect pulled a knife against him and demanded his money.
Two days later, police said that the suspect stole the car of his ex-girlfriend in Warrenton.
A state trooper eventually caught up with the suspect in possession of the vehicle in Phelps County in central Missouri. Prosecutors of St. Charles County have charged him with theft and tampering with a motor vehicle.
His bail was set at $50,000 - according to court proceedings. Police have identified the suspect as 25-year-old Joshua Frillman. Police have identified the victim as Ervin Yoder.
