The exotic dancer, who police identified as 22-year-old Lauren Block, died a week after she was seriously injured in a fall from the second floor balcony while performing at a club in Cleveland.
MetroHealth Medical Center confirmed the death of Lauren Block, who lived in the Richmond Heights neighborhood in Cleveland, on Wednesday.
The hospital released a statement from the family, saying that it is grateful for the support of the
community, their prayers and efforts to save her life.
The man on whom the dancer performed the lap dance told police that the woman was dancing for him early in the morning, and while trying to make a move or jump, she tumbled over the rails at Christie's Cabaret near downtown.
The club refused to comment on the incident.
Police at first, thought that the dancer might have been pushed over the railing, but an investigation later revealed that it was an accident.
